Sport Mount
St Thomas Public School attempts to provide children with experiences in a
wide variety of sports (competitive and social) and fitness activities.
The main outcomes are enjoyment, participation, skill development and
increased fitness for students. School
sport for Years K - 2 is held on Thursdays. Rotating group activities
are held each term including gymnastics, dance, games and skills. Years 3 – 6 sport is held Friday mornings and varies each term. |

Fitness is conducted throughout the week on a Stage basis. Activities include walking, mini-games, circuits, cross country training and athletics training. Carnivals School carnivals are held in age divisions. The age a student turns that year indicates their age division. For example, if a student turns 10 on 31 December, the student participates in the 10 year's age division. The carnivals are school house events and support for the student's house is an important aspect of the carnival. House groups are: Waratah – Red, Wattle - Yellow and Gum – Green. |
