CANTEEN

The canteen is always looking for volunteers to help at lunch and/or recess.  If you can help out please complete this form and return to the school office.  Information about being a canteen volunteer can be read at this link.

The school canteen follows the NSW Department of Education Health and Training and NSW Health's Healthy School Canteen Strategy ("Fresh Tastes at School").  The Fresh Tastes Strategy limits the sale of food and dring of poor nutritional value.  For infomation about this Strategy and other interesting websites regarding this issue see the this link:

Food Matters @ School.

Children should order lunches between 8.30 am and 8.50 am.  When money is sent in a paper bag, please show:

  • name,

  • class,

  • order and amount of money on the front of the bag.

  • Fold and tightly seal the bag to ensure that small coins are not lost.

A price list is sent with the school newsletter at the beginning of the year and during the year as there are changes.

The canteen cannot allow credit at any time.

Volunteers are always welcome to help in the canteen.  Whilst things are always busy, a rostered day can be a pleasant social time as well as being very important to the children .... do help if you can.

If you would like to help, please contact the Canteen Coordinator, Mrs Gaye Simon Gaye is available most mornings in the canteen area, or leave a note at the school office. The position of roster secretary is currently available.  Please contact the school if you are interested in this position.

The canteen committee meets once a term.  See the school newsletter and website for dates and times.
