ATTENDANCE AND ABSENCES A WRITTEN EXPLANATION is required for all absences and must include date or dates of absence. This is a legal requirement. A telephone call advising of possible prolonged absences is appreciated but a note is still required on resumption. Home School Liaison officers are available to assist the school where irregular attendance is considered to be a factor in pupil progress or welfare.

ARRIVAL AT SCHOOL
CHILDREN SHOULD NOT ARRIVE AT SCHOOL BEFORE 8.30 am. No responsibility for pupil safety will be accepted prior to this time. Where there are serious family reasons for a child to arrive earlier, on a regular basis, a written request for this to be permitted should be made. The desire for an early game or to meet friends is not an acceptable reason. Children arriving early will be required to sit quietly until 8.30am. No games are to be played. Children arriving late after classes have entered rooms must obtain a late note from the office.
